Blogtography

Now that we are into June and there will be more road trips, vacations and even camping I thought a ‘Blogtography’ post would work well.

It’s always a good idea to include at least one photo in your blog post (besides your featured image) and by all means make

I know not everyone is really good at taking pictures, especially when it comes to their phones, I don’t have one of these smart phones but I know you can turn it around to take wide pictures (esp. if you are recording part of a concert! Videos are always best done horizontal which means wide)the two different.  I have a free account so I try not to congest my media library with too much, especially not large file sizes.  So I pick and choose what really needs images or not. To save some space if you can, and you do not have your own
photograph, find a pre-existing image use it by adding media from URL and it will show. I do this say with some of my movie reviews (that is if I remember to include one) Trying to keep up with 4 niche blogs  (yes 4, Beauty, Writing, crafts & my Entertainment blog, I do have one other but do not often post to it) I have a digital camera and now my kindle I can take photos with depending on what it is, or shall I say how fast I want to get the post done from start to scheduled.

Another best when taking photos.. if you can get it during the day, especially  outside. That way you get the true colors and natural lighting. I’m not going to even start with messing with lighting and all the different modes available on my camera (like museum, fireworks, dawn/dusk etc) setting how light or dark.

Inkjoy Pens by Papermate

Inkjoy Pens by Papermate

I know nowadays some people just write directly to a computer file. I don’t, no matter what I am writing one of the stories i’m starting or still working on same for poems, letters etc I always use a pen. For me I prefer to use the thick (fat) barrel pens so that my fingers don’t hurt and cramp. This is one I’ve been using well over 10 years!

I was in the market for a new set of color pens, as the last ones I had for one…didn’t write smoothly (I had to press on them and that tends to tire the hand out faster) and  2. the orange was more that brownish orange (rust) color.

So I remembered the Inkjoy commercial,

When I first saw this commercial, I wish I still had the old Spirograph set I had as a kid

I had previously grabbed one of the purple ones that came with the ‘pen’ stylus for phones, tablets etc on it. I liked the way it felt and wrote so I ordered a pack of the retractable Color  pens for writing in my journal, and letters. They’re not fat like my Tandem pen, but they aren’t so thin like the papermate stick ones that my fingers start to hurt. Even though these are an average size pen, they are still comfortable to use. As for what the commercials say, I LOVE these pens! They are my new favorite kind! They write so smooth you would think it was water or air! I even found a mini set of them in a discount store! These are great for anyone for summer roadtrips, days at the beach and vacations. No matter what you do draw, journal, doodle or scrapbook and anything else I may be missing.

and just so you don’t have to deal with my my review, here’s a video one from youtube.

For those of you that want them for the office I looked up a few options for your convenience

Blogging Advice 001

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way shape or form a professional blogger. I am not Zoella, Niomi Smart or Tanya Burr. (Although, being as great as they are at blogging would be amazing.)

So glad I got that disclaimer out of the way. I don’t consider myself a professional blogger or an expert what so ever. I’ve been blogging on this site for a little over a year so I’ve picked up a thing or two but an expert I certainly am not. Although, I am not at the top of the food chain when it comes to blogging, for some reason I have had bloggers ask me for blogging tips and advice. Again, advice from me?! I’m a no body in this blogging world. Nonetheless, I’ve complied some advice to share with you all.

I’m sure you’ve heard that time and time again (probably a…

Book lovers décor suggestions

Well it’s that time of year to start the spring cleaning. I hope you haven’t already as I have some organizer and decor ideas for you.

Though I hope if you have a love of books would not destroy them in such a way, especially those that are not old looking books they could be worth money! I can understand old school books for the hideaways or purse or maybe someone gave you a copy of a book you already have. I can understand if you want to do it with the extra but I would rather donate mine to a school, or someone that cannot afford books and has a hard time getting around (to a library)

I Iike the  color grouping and giant wall clock! I would use all the janet Evanovich books! That Scrabble letter holder idea, you could also do that with scraps of a type of moulding as that’s what those are. The storage bins ad omg the lamp of large thread bobbins but how the heck did they get them in the wall? and ceiling that I really like!  My favorite though has to be the stairs. I wish ours were like that or even ones that opened for storage.
