The ULTIMATE ‘Book’ Report
this is an, all in one helper
You can print out my Word document version on Evernote
Step 1. you need a
Book report cover/binding
First be sure you have the protective cover the following are all good to use (but may also depend on school or teacher.)
You can buy these but are only good for a small report 10-25 pages maybe
Here are some examples from Amazon
bind-your-own-journal-or-book or if you can afford it have staples bind it for you
Or my Book binding Pintrest board Other ideas, (if it’s your choice)
Some ideas: use a file folder if it’s a mystery/crime novel
Make your own cover using cardstock. you can either sew the pages together & glue them in or staple them together then glue the ‘signature’ to the cover. (great for a historic report)
use a 1/2″ – 1″ binder (you can always reuse it or keep all your reports in it, if it will be allowed.
step 2.
Cover page (templates)
I like to think of the cover page as the book jacket of a hardcover novel
Title & author
Book genre
Your name or (any information the teacher wants on that like CLass, period teachers name, date )
Picture: if you can draw, that’s great draw your own cover art but be sure it goes with what you wrote about. It can be a day in history, a scene from the book, etc. Get crafty even!
Make a magazine looking cover http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Magazine+Cover+Template search
you can even use the information on this or use it as part of the cover page!
The book Report
Use this information to write the report.
You can download my printable Word document here on Evernote (as WordPress and evernote are not really print friendly)
(everything to the dotted line is a must for every report) There are specific type book sections like Non-fic, Fic, mystery) if need a time line? see the end)

here’s a generator (click under schools or for research)
here’s a template , bibliography card same & page example (remember when quoting include the page number
Timelines
are a good reference for yourself as an author as well as your audience. (best used for Biographies, History reports & mystery/crime novels ) You can make a ‘BOX’ line or a ‘string’ line timeline. (Here are a couple of examples of what I mean)
use them as an outline to help sort out information or you can also include it in the report and sometimes can be used just as a report! They also help keep you and your audience on track. There may be times you can even use them for a review for movies or books.
There’s a few different types of timelines, it is also a good idea to include one of them
(the first 2 are generators) Horizontal 6 event ~*~ Vertical p to 9 events ~*~ Bubble Line ~*~ Vertical Line timeline ~*~ Display/Photo timeline ~*~ Graph Timeline ~ ok I think that’s all of them (as far as I can think of) So pick one you like best (or maybe you can make a hybrid of 2 or 3.) Good luck
How about a sample for a Flow-chart.jpg
